In episode #17 of the Music Marketing Manifesto Podcast we are joined by James Book of Top Secret Productions to talk about sponsorships. What they are, how they work, and the best way to go about trying to secure one for your band or music.

James Book is the former bassist of the gold selling rock band, the Flys, turned Marketing Director for the much renowned Ninkasi Brewing Company of Oregon.

As you’ll learn in the interview Ninkasi’s marketing is heavily centered around sponsoring independent artists, who in turn, help get the word out about Ninkasi.

Who better to give you the inside scoop on sponsorships, than the guy behind Ninkasi’s innovative sponsorship program?

Thanks for sharing this John, great episode. This just goes to show how important lateral thinking is in the success of a career in music these days. The opportunities out there are limitless, it’s up to us as artists/musicians to start being innovative. Much love to James and Ninkasi as well for the support they’re giving to bands.
