JO on the Cath Vincent Show

I recently had the pleasure of appearing on Season 2, Episode 9, of the Cath Vincent Show. A local New Zealand talk show geared towards entrepreneurs and the arts.

Cath and I have a quick chat about making music, making money, and making it happen.

I’m the first interview up and our talk lasts less than 10 minutes. But I thought it worth the share.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Hope you dig it!

    Hey John,

    So Humble,

The reality of “I am gonna need to find a day job, and I also heard you say I am not qualified for anything else” Hit home for sure.

I recently got picked up by a Universal group label” Great people, But waiting for the hotdog to fly through the window is still not happening, we must do the footwork, I believe your program outlines all that.

Unless you yourself are going to do all the legwork for the Artist and I know you offer some of that, the Artist needs to pay attention, get humble, take direction, but most of all take action.

    My 2 cents

Thanks for always responding to my emails

    Dave

Hey John, loved the interview. I think your story is very inspiring to musicians.

  • Eve A. Ma says:

One thing I want to know – do you still make and record your music? I hope so. Obviously, you’re doing great at teaching people how to market…but I hope you’re still an active singer-songwriter yourself. (And by the way, the interview is good, the host is good…but the set decoration leaves something to be desired!)

      Hi Eve,

Yes, I do still record and perform. I have been performing a bit here in New Zealand and have a new album in the can which I hope to release the moment I have a spare second 🙂

      Thanks for watching.

Nice job John. You showed your positive attitude and that you’re comfortable in your own skin and that you are a down to Earth guy.
I just released an album recently and have read a lot about what you and others talk about but I only have so much time to implement strategies so it’s a little disappointing so far but I didn’t do it for the money.
I do keep chugging along and I Love everything I’ve learned and written and released and have no regrets in the life-long school of music and all the groceries that come with it.
My Best to You John. Keep Pushing, Wade
