Hi I thought I'd let you know I've finally got some traffic flowing to my squeeze page and people are getting their 3 free tracks as a taster of my album which I'm hoping to have out in February. The 3 track taster offer is going to finish at the end of December. The squeeze page is http://www.endareilly.info Any feedback of the experience is very welcome. I'm hoping that'll get folks to stand up and be counted. I do have to figure out what I'll do then. Stop it altogether for January maybe and comeback with some other offer in February or change it to a different 3 tracks or maybe decrease it to one free track.
Initially I'm not going to go the "sounds like" add route because there are so few people writing in Irish/Gaelic that I'm hoping people will be up for getting the tracks. But I do intend trying out some facebook adds.
I tried cover videos on youtube earlier this year (2 a week) which was fun and gets be some youtube subscribers still but didn't seem to get people clicking. youtube.com/user/endaderoad
I've emailed my main list, got some radio stations here in Ireland who'll play the songs, share the link on their twitter feeds etc. so that's going well.
I have a problem regarding finding the stats of the conversion rates, because I'm using Mailchimp. Is there a way to do that with google analytics that I'd be able to add to my Hostgator hosted squeeze page?
Thanks.
Hi,
You've done a great job with the squeeze page and it looks good. But I can't help but wonder if you'd do better with the more recent squeeze page template I gave out to IC members. You can find it a few lessons back. I find that the cleaner page works better.
As far as the copy itself, the only thing that really strikes me is the headline. Not being in English I think you may be narrowing down your potential audience pool a lot. That said, as long as you target people who speak Gaelic, it may really connect. You'd need to test to be sure.
You might also experiment with a headline that says more than just "three new songs for download from Enda Reilly". I really try to emphasize focusing on the experience that your music offers, as apposed to just the physical thing that they will get. Something to consider at any rate.
