Hey Marc,
I think the grammar is far better in the post that you wrote. In fact, it was easy to read and I didn't see any issues. Fiverr is mostly garbage. But there are some gems there.
But both post ideas are fun and worth trying.
You might also Try something simple like "Ghost Bar" or "Our Gig in the Netherworld". Just ideas.

Ok there might another issue, that just grabbed my attention. So I changed the 2nd blog post to the "Our Gig in the Netherworld" story, fired up the ad, got 30 people in the funnel. 0% opens on the second blog post email. I thought something has to be wrong, so I entered myself into the funnel with my Gmx email address. The first email arrived, but that was all! Everything else after that goes to my spam folder at GMX.
I am probably not the only subscriber that's not getting my emails. Any ideas what could be the reason? What could I do? Is the emaildomain I am using in aweber a factor? It is just one from my tnlmetal.de domain. That issue was probably happing before too.
Spamscore in Aweber says = 0
thx Marc
Hi Marc,
Steve here, from support.
Yes, even though you are using an email sender address from your domain, it is possible that tnlmetal.de might be getting hung up in spam filters in a way that a .com sender address might not.
Is there any reason for not using a .com? Are you only targeting people in Germany. My apologies if you've mentioned this earlier in the thread.
Regardless, there is something you can do to try to ease the situation.
For instance, you might start to mention/recommend on your funnel's success page (the one they'd see after confirming their email address), that the new subscriber should whitelist your email address so that the songs can get to them without going to the junk folder, or the "promotions" folder (like in gmail sometimes).
That way you're at least making the subscriber aware that the downloads might get stuck in spam, depending on their level of filtering.
If confirmation for your Aweber list is turned off, you would do this on the sign up form's thank you page instead.
Well, we always had the tnlmetal.de for our website. Long before I even started collecting leads and running ads etc. and we are from Germany. So having a .de domain was nothing I thought would be a problem because I thought it was consistent with the website and all. Could I just set up an gmail.com address and use that with aweber as the "sender"?
Hey Marc,
I would contact Aweber. They have both chat and phone support. They can see things we can't and they might have more insight into what is happening. Their support is great and one of the main reasons to go with them.
Let us know what you find out.

Ok I'll message them. Using Gmail seems to be even worse, their FAQ says btw.
Sorry about that. I forgot to address your question about that. Using any free address (such as gmail) is frowned upon, and they claim it hurts deliverability. It's because so many spammers use free addresses.

Hey John,
thanks for reviewing my email on the live call in week 3 of the copywriting workshop. I just finished a new version, and I would like to take your offer for checking my english again. I also put a link to the blog post at the top of the email as you suggested.

Hey Marc,
There were a few awkward bits...
Here are my suggestions...
-------------
Subject: The cassette tape that changed his life
Hi {!firstname_fix},
Hope you had the chance to wake up your neighbours properly with the two songs I sent you yesterday.
Our singer Diddi does this every morning, ever since he bought his very first metal album 😉
Anyway... I cannot even begin to tell you how proud we are of these songs; that people all over the world like yourself take the time to listen is truly special.
I remember back in the day, when I began to listen to bands like Judas Priest or Iron Maiden...
I would record their songs late at night from the radio (the only time they were playing real metal right?) onto cassette tapes to steadily grow my collection of the many new gems that I would fine.
It’s possible our frontman Diddi would’ve never even gotten into metal if it wasn’t for a cassette tape that he came across one fateful day in 1990. A day that would change his life forever...
He tells this story in our latest blog post. Click to find out what happened.
Do you have a favorite metal album that changed your life? Tell us in the comments!
Check it out right here!
STAY HEAVY,
Marc from 'Thunder and Lightning'

Thx john, I will run a new campaign right away to test this thing.
Happy to help.

Hey Marc,
I'm enjoying reading your progress - hope you find the solution to your funnel working nicely!
Sam
Ok, so I got 60 more people into the funnel, but all the changes didn't make a significant change in the stats. I am looking now at 32% opens and 10% clicks which is actually worse that before. when it was 38% opens, 14% clicks.
Well what now, scrap the blog post altogether?
Hey Marc,
60 people is well below any kind of statistical significance number. It takes thousands of emails before you can really rely on the numbers. I would say the drop of is insignificant and essentially the changes just haven't had any impact.
Refresh my memory... Is this blog post #1 or #2? If #2 that open rate and CTR is not so bad. If #1 it wants to come up ideally.
My apologies if you've already answered this. I scanned the thread but didn't see it mentioned.

Hey John it's the #1 blog post. But ok, I was wondering if I am jumping to conclusions again too early. I will run some more traffic.
Ok, sounds good. The open rate is a bit low for a 2nd email, but not horrible. Still, it could be better. What is the open rate on your first email with the downloads?

The download email has: 68% opens and 58% clicks. Which seems also a little low imo. Btw. I am using a .com address now, as we talked a couple of months ago that it could be that my .de might get my emails filtered out more easily.
Is that with confirmed opt in on or off?
If it's on, then that is a bit low (I'd like it to be over 80%). If it's off then that isn't bad. In any case. Your 38% open on the second email is just a bit lower than what I'd expect to see. I'd normally expect to see a drop from 68% on the first email to something more like 48% on the second, but that is by no means an absolute rule.
