Hi, I think I might need some help with my funnel.
My funnel has only had 52 people through, which I know isn't a lot - but no sales yet. I was kind of expecting around one or two.
It's somewhat confusing because my numbers are okay I think. And I'm getting emails from people saying that they like my songs and that my emails are a fun experience.
I certainly took some artistic liberties with the MMM email templates. Maybe that's where things are going wrong? Maybe I accidentally messed something up that leads to the sale?
It could also be my USP or targeting. I've had the best luck so far advertising to Greta Van Fleet fans, but my music isn't exactly the same as theirs.
John, if you, or anybody else could take a quick glance at my funnel and give your advice or suggestions, I would really appreciate anything you guys have to say.
Is the copy ok?
Could I include more of something? less of something else?
Maybe I just need more people through the funnel before I start drawing conclusions?
I'm offering a "Rock Odyssey" - 5 days of free songs (1 song a day) plus a little bit extra (info about where the song came from, how it was recorded, acoustic version of the song , spacey stuff, whatever I feel like haha)
I really wanted the whole funnel to feel like a journey - like a whole experience, a whole work of art - in and of itself.
I don't know if my squeeze page matters, but if it does, here it is. It's very basic and converts at 33%:

Thanks in advance for any advice you might have!
Hi Nick,
There are a few minor things I don't like, such as the fact that the squeeze page has no real copy on it, but in general, and only having time for a glance, things look really good. Your open rates are pretty fantastic.
Targeting could be an issue, but it's too soon to say.
1. Wait until you get at least 100 people through the funnel before coming to any conclusions.
2. Make sure those 100 people have completed the funnel and aren't still going through it.
3. Is the music you are offering available on Spotify or other streaming pltforms?

Hey John, Thanks for taking a look!
I'll start the funnel back up and get a few more people through.
Some of the album is available on Spotify/YouTube. They get 5 songs for free in my funnel, 8 songs are available on Spotify/Youtube. But if they buy my album directly from me, they get 11 songs. I tried to make it fairly clear in my funnel that if they buy the album from me, they get more songs - songs that aren't on Spotify, or anywhere else.
Maybe I could do more of a teaser talking about those songs they can't get anywhere else specifically?
Something like: "'Frosted Streetlamps' is the only duet on the album. It's about one night in Montreal. It's turning the clock back on a relationship to the very first spark..."
I'll post an update when I have 100 people through. I suspect the targeting could be the issue, but I just wanted to be sure there was no glaring errors in the funnel itself that are stopping people from buying.
It's just weird because - like you said - my open rates are good, and people are emailing me and liking the music... You'd think someone would have bought.
Having 72% of your songs on Spotify is a very possible deterrent for sales. I normally recommend limiting it to just 2 or 3 songs on the streaming platforms, so that is something to look watch for. But I would still give it more time. Of the 52 subs, how many of them have completely finished going through the funnel?

All 52 subs have completed the funnel. Then, I paused the funnel.
I've just un-paused it today so we'll see what happens with the next round of people that go through.
Sounds good. Keep me posted. You might take a look at the "surveying your list" lesson if you still don't see any sales after the next 50 - 100 people complete the funnel. That may or may not highlight the issue.
