Hey John,
Just wanted to bring something to everyone's attention in case it's affecting more people than just me.
I'm finally running ads again after launching a new album, and I ended up doing a little bit of rebranding on my USP to better fit with the new album. Not by much, just the focus of the headline's hook. The hook is different enough now that FB's algorithm is having to find a new top segment of my usual audiences, so I ended up resetting my signup form's stats so I could more accurately see what was happening statistically.
Well, it seems that Aweber is recording fewer form submissions than are actually taking place. If I tally up the number of subscribers I've gained so far and run it against the total number of times the form is displayed (which is consistent with the number of landing page views FB recorded), it should be at around 40%. But Aweber is showing 29.3% currently.
In other words it's possible that people are not seeing an accurate conversion rate on their squeeze pages.
Hey Kevin, that's interesting, and surprising. I have not noticed any discrepancies like that, but I haven't probably looked as close as you have. Have you contacted Aweber about this?
