Just a quick post to elaborate on how to search the forum. I see that many people are just using the basic search function which usually returns WAY to many results. If you haven't already discovered it, when you'd like to search for previous conversations on a specific topic just enter your keyword into the search field at the top left of the forum and click "advanced search". Then you will see a series of options. You can narrow things down however you like but I suggest ticking the following variables:

*All Forums

*Match Phrase

*Posts and topic titles.

This should narrow things down and get you only relevant results. If you want to narrow things down to only very targeted threads you can switch the third option to *Topic Titles Only.

There are thousands of threads in the IC forum now, most of which is infinitely more valuable than the average stuff you'll read on a music marketing blog. So if you haven't been using the forum as a rich database of marketing info, now's the time to start
