Hey Mike,
No, I've never seen that. So no reach whatsoever, or just about 100 impressions or so? I've seen Newsfeed ads stop getting impressions after 100 impressions with no clicks. Right column usually get closer to 1000. It can sometimes take a day or so for an ad to start getting served as well.
Does that line up at all? If not, you might contact FB. they have an email contact in the left side bar. Ask them what's going on and let us know what they come back with. It gets tricky to diagnose without logging in and looking around because there are so many variables.

Yeah, zero reach! I checked all the variables and I can't figure it out.
I'm gonna start again next week with some new targeting and new graphics and see if I can't get it going again. I'll check with support if the same shit goes down! Good news is that we made a couple of sales this week from the funnel - 2 sales from 8 leads - $30, not a bad start, but I wouldn't call that an accurate sample! But it's just nice to see some success!
For sure. The fact that you saw some sales at least shows you that the ingredients are there. Just need to refine and smooth out the process.
I've never seen the zero reach thing unless it was in an existing campaign that had a history of under performing ads. One thing you might do is tick the button that allows you to adjust the bid price of the ads. That will cause a suggested bid range to display. It's possible that FB calculated something wrong when you first bid and now they are calculating something higher and you are not in the range. But if memory serves you were already bidding high. So I'm really not sure without logging in there and looking around. Your best bet is to contact FB ad support. I'd do it now as they take a day or two to respond usually.

Wow, check this shit out.
After the ads not being served for two weeks, they started up randomly yesterday again (the campaign page said still not serving for some reason and I have no idea why.)
But, it's right side ads and there's six different images for them to try - and one of them is getting 0.699% and the other is getting 0.898% click through rate, which I'm pretty happy about for a right-side/mobile ad. Okay, now I've got to keep an eye on it. But, crazy that they just started up again after nothing happening for awhile, it must have been a snafu and I'd been trying some different things but now I'll keep this running for a bit and see if we can't get some decent traffic and subscribers over the next week.
Hey Mike,
Sorry for the slow response. Been offline for a few days. Yeah, that all sounds fairly weird. But at least the traffic is coming in now. Let us know how you do.

Okay, status update:
Since the ads started running again on May 7th, we've spent $60 in advertising for a right-hand side and mobile ad that compared Sunspot to 30 Seconds to Mars. We had six images running, of which one proved to be the most popular with a Click-Through Rate of 0.724%.
Facebook claims that there were 124 clicks to our squeeze page in that time, while Google analytics has 112 total page views and 91 unique visitors. Of those 91 uniques, we had 8 new signups to the email list in that timeframe. That's an improvement on the squeeze page at least since a little under 10% is higher than it was before, but it still could use some help.
Our average cost per website click (according to Facebook) is .48 but our average cost per action (which includes liking the ad, our page, or commenting on the ad) is around .30
Okay, 8 members is $60 = 7.50 per email signup for this last round, which shows that we're getting a little better because last month it was $10 per subscriber. Keeping on working to bring that down to a dollar a subscriber, which seems like the magic number we're all going towards.
I paused this ad and then am going to try something else for our upcoming show on Saturday in our hometown. I put up this image as a post (because the former lead singer of Creed is playing at the same festival at the same time as we are). Once it gets enough views on the actual page, I might boost it to include targets in the event area beyond people connected to our page.
Hey Mike,
Happy to hear that you are seeing improvements, but yeah, that is still way to expensive. Your CTR is still pretty low. Focusing on getting that up will be the quickest way to get your costs down. That comes down to images and ad copy.
Regarding conversion tracking. i wouldn't pay so much attention to Analytics and FB conversion tracking, but rather focus on Aweber's conversion stats. Those will be the most accurate in my experience. But you need to remember to zero those out before trying a new ad. What are your aweber stats telling you?
