With so many new members in the Insider Circle members area I thought it would be fun to hold another "Squeeze Page Bootcamp".
That means that for this month's lesson you are invited to submit your primary squeeze page URL and I will review your page, and record it and share my review in the next Insider Circle lesson.
This will not only be valuable for those whose pages are reviewed, but it should also address important issues that others may not have thought to ask. These kind of rapid fire, over-the-shoulder, sessions really help strengthen your copywriting instincts.
Here's what you need to do...
Here's what you need to know...
This should be a lot of fun. Thanks for being part of the lesson.
Having trouble with your marketing? Wish you could have an experienced direct-to-fan marketing expert look over your actual campaigns, music, or content and offer feedback? Hi John,
I couldn't help but jump on this chance! Thank you for offering this opportunity!
Heres' my primary squeeze page for MUSIC.
And here's the SOFT squeeze page:
My primary target audience, (which I derived from a ReverbNation feedback review I did recently):
I mentioned that this is the MUSIC squeeze page because I plan to sell my books (motivation) and marketing (training & practice) elsewhere.
Thanks,
Dr. Pelè
Hi John,
This is cool and I'm going to jump on it as well. Coincidentally, I was up working on an additional blog post with the aim of pushing the two campaign blog posts off my front page. I registered for MMM 3.0 about 6 months before you put out 4.0, so I've been working on this for some time but haven't taken it public yet.
Here's the soft squeeze page:

Hard one:

Re: targeting. The best thing I can tell you is that it was your interview with New Jacobin Club that got me off the fence when it came to purchasing your course. We're not exactly like them but we're close enough to them that I'd heard of them before (and who knows, they may have heard of us).
Our music, however, is much different - there's no metal influence, we are marketing to a goth audience who is into bands like The Cure, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Joy Division and newer artists like London After Midnight.
EDIT: If it helps to simplify the target audience, a good one is US-based London After Midnight fans aged 25-55.
The audience is men, women and transgendered people from 28-55; most tend to be in the 30s-40s age range. For locations, other than Canada and the US I usually target the UK and Germany, as well as Belgium where we have had some exposure and press but that is more of a 'micro-targeting' thing since it's so small.
I'm very interested in your feedback so thanks for offering this opportunity. Feel free to look at my two blog posts that are based on your 'blog post of a lifetime' and 'building social proof' posts as well. I found writing those to be a very interesting process that made me think deeply about how to adapt your ideas into a solid way to present my project.
best

Hi John, thank you for the opportunity.
I'm right now taking the MMM 4.0 so I will definitely come up with a new squeeze page but It would be great to get feedback on this one so I can start steering my ship in the right direction.
This is my squeeze page, I currently have it on my facebook artist page signup and my website. Still working on a Facebook AD for that but it will probably change after I get through the MMM 4.0 course.

Hi John,
this is great, thanks for the opportunity!
My URL is:
My initial target auidence is:
I will need to run a number of different targeted facebook campaigns as my debut album is written like a soundtrack to a film with a mix of instrumentals and songs which cross a mix of genres - from electronica to classical piano to singer-songwriter. It all works seamlessly as an album but targeting a specific audience is rather difficult!
Thanks again!
Christopher

Tell me who my band sounds like! :)
Hi John
Thought I'd join the queue here.
I haven't launched our site yet but just need to finish the upset page then we're off - I expect to be trialling next week so feedback at this stage would be great.
The page is: http://www.parentmusic.com
Many thanks

Hi John,
Same deal here. Still linking together all of the moving parts...so this hasn't been put into action yet. Any feedback before I start sending traffic here would be great.
We are a ska/punk band based in Scotland. Our primary target audience is:
Age: 16-40
Location: UK/USA/Canada/Australia etc. (basically any English speaking country with a notable market for ska/punk)
Fans of Reel Big Fish/Less Than Jake/Goldfinger
I'll initially be basing ads in areas that we gig/intend to gig, tailoring them specifically for whatever area we're targeting.
I look forward to hearing the lesson.
Thanks
Josh
Thanks, John!

Hi John.
I love this idea.
Here's my squeeze page:
http://www.earlmacdonaldmusic.com
I'm a jazz artist and music educator. Jazz fans are predominantly males. I work a lot with college students, but at gigs there are mostly grey haired folks in the audience. I think my music is purchased mostly by educated musicians, and dedicated, older jazz fans who are "in the know."
