Hey John, I’m thinking it’s almost time to create a Facebook post using the results I got from dynamic creative - And then drive traffic to that post from just one audience (my best performing audience - Anderson .Paak - 1.8M - 18+ - All Placements/Platforms - Men & Women - USA/Canada/UK).
I’m thinking this might lower my cost per subscriber ($2.10) by improving my conversion rate (currently hovering around 28%)
My thinking:
Since I’m currently driving traffic to my squeeze page from 2 ad sets (the other one being a lower performing audience who responds to different ad creative than what’s on my squeeze page), I’d hopefully jump up above 30% conversion rate and get below 2 bucks per subscriber by advertising to just my best audience and narrowing down the ad creative to just the stuff they like...
Any thoughts on this? Thank you!
That sounds pretty reasonable. While everything sounds pretty decent, it is still a little on the high side. Is there anything else you can isolate as having room for improvement? What is your click through rate (to landing page)?

Hey John, yeah it's still high. I'd like to get down below $1.50 at least.
As far as what to isolate I'm thinking choosing the best performing elements would help:
-Financially, my best performing image is getting results at $1.19 per conversion, and it has just matched the number of conversions my current squeeze photo has gotten (that photo is at $1.99 per result)
-My best performing ad text is getting results at $1.48 per conversion (I'm currently using that on the squeeze page)
-The headline "Free music from Brian Rogers" has gotten twice as many conversions as the runner up (Free Download - Brian Rogers) and my cost per result there is $1.34
-My best performing link description is at $1.58 per result
-And between the Download Button (34 subscribers at $1.97 each) and the Subscribe button (18 subscribers at $1.41 each), I'd probably pick the download button because it has twice as much reach (5,109 vs. 1,991) as the subscribe button.
****************
For the whole ad set the CTR is 2.08%
For the photo I'm using on my squeeze page the CTR it's 2.25%
And I just found that overnight I'm getting nearly twice as many subscribers from an Ad Text that was a former loser.
The CTR on that Ad Text is 2.16%
I just put it as the squeeze page headline about 2 hours ago. I'll let you know how that ultimately effects the conversion rate and prices.
Ok, cool. The good news is that the image and the ad text will account for most of your results so between the 1.19 image and the 1.48 ad text, you should be able to get that down to under $1.50.
The biggest issue though, is your CTR. Anything under 3% is low. and even 3% can be improved. So regardless, you probably need t keep trying to improve the ad and likely the targeting, until that goes up. Even a 1% increase in your CTR could mean a 30% reduction in costs per sub.
But it looks like you;re getting there. Baby steps 🙂

Right on, that's what I'm hoping.
Yes I will def. try some new creative in my next round, and a different audience.
Here's the kicker: my current target audience is Anderson .Pakk, who's a drummer/singer/rapper. Late one night it hit me that I'm advertising myself as a "Nouveau Beatnik Bassist...", when I should probably be saying I'm a "Nouveau Beatnik Drummer..." since I could be seen as either, and being a drummer who sings and raps is his USP...
Man that could have been an oversight. And making that change to my Ad Text and maybe my images, might improve the CTR a bit.
But like you said, baby steps
Thanks John!
But you're not really a drummer are you? I gather you play, but I've only ever seen you behind the bass?? You should not be advertising yourself as a drummer unless that really is at the core of your identity.

Oh definitely! Drums is my first instrument. The bass tapping certainly stands out as unique, but most people probably think I"m a better drummer:

(probably fast forward to 2:52)
*I sound like an obnoxious music aficionado right now. And honestly I totally hear what you're saying: The bass is probably more unique and cool anyways. That was just a random thought I was sharing that could be something but it's probably best to keep my drumming as a secondary instrument for marketing/songwriting purposes.
ok, cool. Nice chops! I don't think I've ever seen a pic of you behind a drum kit. If you are going to go that way, make sure your funnel and images reflect that.

Thank you! And I hear you- Honestly that's a big decision marketing wise to switch to drums. Maybe I'll give it a shot but I'll remain solid in my approach for now.
You can always just create a clone of your squeeze page with an emphasis on drums, and then see how it converts. If it converts well on the squeeze page, then you can clone the campaign and make it more drum centric as well, and see how that performs. You don't need to go all or nothing as a starting place. Just a thought. You could have a new squeeze page up in a matter of minutes and if it out performs your existing one then its a good sign you are on the right track.

Totally, that's a solid approach. I can see how it's all just one step at a time and there's no use or way to rush.
Sounds good!
