Hi again John,

So I just unpaused an ad from a year ago. Not sure if that's a crazy thing to do- I thought I'd give it a try as cost per sub actually wasn't that bad, especially with my current mindset to budgetting and my business plan. I'm hoping the cost per sub will at least stay the same or even hopefully go down. Have you ever unpaused an ad from a year ago ?!

I also wanted to check whether I need to do anything about these custom conversion checks fb is alerting me to for this ad- (see screen shot.) I checked that the url for my squeeze page is still the one I want. I can't remember much about rules except that I followed steps to set one up when I did MMM.... ?! Shall I just ignore this message?

Thanks!

Karen

Hey Karen,

Unpausing an ad from a year ago is not likely to get you the best results. But it's also not crazy. I have done it before. Occasionally it works. Usually it doesn't.

The message you see about your conversion event not receiving any activity means that no one has landed on the thank you page that has your conversion pixel on it, within the tracking period. To fix that just go to the page and refresh it a few times by clicking F5 while holding down the shift key. That clears the cache for that page on a PC. Not sure what the equivalent is for Mac, but that's the goal. Then you can go to custom conversions in your ads manager, find the conversion goal, and see f that yellow dot has turned to green. Or you can check it the next time you set up an ad. I'm guessing it will work fine.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi John,

Thanks for this. I decided to turn off the ad, duplicate it and start afresh with the same elements. This sorted out the conversion thing that was coming up too.

Thanks,

Karen
