Hi! Anyone using StumbleUpon? Let's press each others' likebuttons! Anyone up for it? My adress is http://theartsongproject.com , and I have SU button as a small widget at the right sidebar.
Let me know your address, and I'll "press back" 🙂

Hi Helene,
I only really use it for SEO but I know some people swear by it for traffic. I actually have been talking to one of my subscribers about this very thing. He claims to get a lot of traffic with it. I will rack my brain and see if I can't come up with some kind of a script that sends out daily links to user's stumbleupon links and rewards activity by moving each user up in the queue. I'll need to think on that. I think managing hundreds of users manually would become a bit of a nightmare. But it's a good idea.

Hi Helene,
I don't use Stumble upon per se, but everytime I post a new piece of content, one of the things I do is bookmark the content with Delicious.com
I have not seen any direct traffic from social bookmarking sites like these, but I also don't personally use them find content either.
However, if you get down to brass tacks, these sites allow you to tell others about content by "tagging" the content with keywords.
So if there are people using these sites to find content, bookmarking your own content for the sake of it has the potential of bringing you new traffic. However the other benefit is that search engines seem to like these sites because by their nature, they are essentially direct votes to what people like.
This is why I bookmark my content after posting it. It's just another chance for people to find your stuff and tell the search engines they like it too!
