Hey there everyone,

I'm a newbie here and I'm reading through the MMM manual and taking it all in. Is everyone using Aweber for lists and autoresponder or is anyone using Mailchimp at all? I've been sending mailouts and buildng my list from gigs with Mailchimp for a while after trying a few of the others for musicians.

I'm just wondering if I should change over before I start using this system?

Thanks

Enda

Hey Enda,

Mail Chimp is absolutely fine. I prefer Aweber but I would have no issues with using Mail Chimp. The only 3 companies I would personally consider using are Aweber, Mail Chimp, or Get Response. Probably in that order, but all are fine.

That's great. I wasn't sure whether they were whitelisted and all that.

This was an interesting Comparison I found online if anyone is interested.

I may as well continue with them for the time being then.

I'm using Mailchimp. I'm fairly new at this too, but so far I find that Mailchimp does everything I need it to do. I called them for help the other day and was impressed with their service (and they answered the call in about 5 seconds)

I've been using Mailchimp for close to two years now and have had no problems at all. When I first signed up they offered 500 sign ups to your list, then they doubled to 1,000 and now they're up to 2,000 and I've heard that they've become the biggest auto responder company because of this free model (not sure if it's true?).

I still think Aweber is at the forefront as far as technology goes, especially with some of their recent changes.

However, if you're just starting out and are trying to break even before you start your next stadium tour Wink - Mailchimp helps to eliminate autoresponder fees at least until you're at the 2k level at which time you should be able to make some sales income off your list if you pay attention to what John's been teaching ya!

Excellent. It's nice to know there's others using it successfully.
