A few days ago I was getting killer conversions on my new audiences I was testing, getting confirmed opt in subscribers for £0.30, for 4 days. Then the last few days, the cost per subscriber has gone up to £2 - £3.
The CTR on the ads has dropped, and so has the conversion rate on the squeeze page.
Any ideas on what I should do?
thanks!
I turned an audience on and off again, and now I seem to be back to £0.30 - £0.60 per opt in... weird.
Hi Sam,
Steve here.
From what you first described, it simply sounded like you had blazed through this particular audience already. So what you get is the same people seeing the ad (who may have already clicked through it before), but now they just aren't clicking it anymore, causing your CTR to drop and your cost per click to climb.
You may just need to give that particular audience a break from this ad, or from ads altogether for a time.
Thanks Steve. I turned the audience on again and the ads are now working and sign ups are flowing in. My £3/day budget got me 6 sign ups yesterday (plus 8 from instagram and 1 from my website).
So I'm not sure what happened... but it's working again
Hey Sam, so sorry fr the slow response. I've been swamped for the last few days.
These kind of fluctuations are common, especially with a new campaign. 4 days is just not that old. I have campaigns where I might get a sub for $1.50 and then all of the sudden it's $10 one day, then the next day it's $1.30. It's just the way stats roll. Like roulette. Sometimes black comes up 40 times in a row, but over the long run it's always 50%. Try to mostly rely on the 7 day average rather than going day to day. When the 7 day average gets out of whack, then it's time to think about making a change.

Anytime. I sent you a personal email the other day, in case you assumed it was a mass email. Subject was something like "favour to ask".
Cheers.
