Hi Mark,
There are a few things that have changed in terms of Facebook's layout, but fundamentally it's all still exactly the same.
But to answer your question, it just depends on what you are doing. If you are wanting to test two different ad sets in the same campaign then you would click the duplicate ad set button and go with "original campaign" as you have. Then you would make changes in the new duplicate so that you had something different to test.
But if the campaign was not performing well and you just wanted to try something new, then you would normally create a new campaign from scratch and make the changes there.

Hi Man, i've stopped them current ads, really need to tweak and try to figure out what the problem is.
I'm not too savvy on the stats but i know they wern't doing well.
Is there anything you could suggest or is it just a case of tweaking until it starts to work?
thanks man.

Hey Mark,
The screenshots are pretty ow res and I can't quite make them out when I blow them up. The numbers are pixelating.
But you will always have more impressions than reach. While they are very similar, reach means the number of unique people who have been exposed to the ad while impressions means the number of times. So it is normal to have some people seeing the ad more than once. That is no reason for concern.
In terms of your ad, it's hard to say without being able to see the data but it looks like a few of your ad sets are doing really well with 4 - 5% click through rates and I think it says that you are paying as little as .10 per click. Those numbers by themselves are great. But I don't know what your conversion rate is.
What is your ads objective and where is the problem exactly?

Hey man , Thanks for getting back.
Sorry about the screenshot quality, and yeah, all 3 of the ad sets have over 4% CTR and yeah .10p a click. It doesn't give me a conversion rate ranking as yet. My main concern is that although i'm only spending 5 pounds a day for each ad i haven't had a single sub?
The aim for the ads is to try and grow a list as i have an album ready to release and i wanted to try the direct to fan before i release on digital platforms.
I have my funnel in place for new subs which gives them a free song from an album i released in 2019, and then goes on to try sell them the album as the emails come through exactly how you did in the 4.0.
But this album is on the digital platforms, but i thought i would be gaining new people that hadn't heard of me so didn't see this as an issue, although i have had people who already know me ask why i'm trying to sell. Anyway,
I know there could be several reasons why people are not signing up, and i'm wondering now whether it might be that my squeeze page needs to be more to the point rather than make them read? Just go straight for the free download?
I also wondered if i was targeting the right artist's fans but didn't want to mess with the ads once they were live.
Thanks for your help man...
Just following up John incase you missed the last reply.
Thanks for your time.
Hey Mark, sorry for the slow reply. I was out on Friday and then off line for the weekend.

I'm a bit unclear here... in an earlier post you said "i got 6 subs and 1 sale". Is this a new ad? If so, and you are not getting any leads then the ad is not doing well. But something seems off here. It's not common to see such a fantastic cost per click and a high CTR with no conversions. I'm concerned that you do not have something set up right.
What is the campaign objective, and what country are you targeting?

You will have a harder time selling the album if it is already available on teh streaming platforms. It won't impact subscriber rates, but what happens is that as interest grows with your subscribers they will begin to google you and enter your name on the streaming sites, and find your music on your own. Then your sales emails will fall on deaf ears because people will already know they have the music.

It's hard to say. Post a link here and I'll take a look, but I have concerns along the lines of what I mentioned above. Usually with such a good CTR you would see some subs.

Hi John, thanks for getting back,
I’m a bit unclear here… in an earlier post you said “i got 6 subs and 1 sale”. Is this a new ad? If so, and you are not getting any leads then the ad is not doing well. But something seems off here. It’s not common to see such a fantastic cost per click and a high CTR with no conversions. I’m concerned that you do not have something set up right.
What is the campaign objective, and what country are you targeting?
Regarding the 1st ad, I realised that them subs and the sale came from me posting my squeeze page on my socials and converting that way, since then i've managed to create different pages so i can determine where the subs come from in the future.
Also i spoke with Steve after the ad started to not convert and he told me that id 'exhausted my audience', so i made this new ad.
The objective was 'traffic' as i was on a small budget of 5 pounds per day. I was targetting UK, USA, Canada and New Zealand.

It won’t impact subscriber rates, but what happens is that as interest grows with your subscribers they will begin to google you and enter your name on the streaming sites, and find your music on your own. Regarding this, i've decided to use my next album in the ads when i start them back up.

Also probably nothing, but i noticed when you set up your FB ads in the video the options are different now. I could only see the options for setting up the ad the same way you did under the 'events manager'
Thanks again.

How did you determine that?

Ok, with such a small budget I would limit it to one country. The fact that the budget is traffic and you are getting so many clicks and so few leads, makes me think that something in your ad is attracting the wrong kind of behavior and you will be better of changing your ibjecting to conversions and trying to raise your budget up to $10/day to accommodate.

Looks pretty reasonable. I would test different headlines and fill out the supporting copy a little, but otherwise it seems like a good start.

The options are all basically the same (though they have added new ones) but the skin is different, so it just takes a little getting used to. But let me know if you can't find something.
All the best.
