The US Post Office tells me that to send a CD in a soft case (not a jewel case) from Northern California to Italy will cost me $17.50. "Are you kidding?" I asked. "Nope," was the reply. How do people send 1 CD from the US overseas in a cost effective manner? My brother in the UK is happy to fulfill European orders. Do I just get some CDs manufactured in the UK? It costs $6.00 to send a CD from the UK to Italy. — Thanks.
Prices have become ridiculous. USPS doesn't even ship to New Zealand now, and a number of other countries. Drop shipping becomes the only reasonable option. You can do that privately, like you have outlined, or through a service.
Anther option is to try print on demand service like Kunaki. I believe they have plants in various places around the globe to help with shipping costs.
