Hello,
I have some questions about selling future albums.
Do I add them to my existing site, or do I make a new site for every album? Do I change the free download to a track from the future album? Do I just promote future albums to my email list who already bought the original album? How do I implement this?
Thanks,
Leo Biollo
Hi Leo,
You definitely do not need a new site. You would sell them from this site.
The way this basically works is that you would always have one active funnel, presumably selling your most recent album. Then you would either group past albums into a box set, or sell them as one off promotions.
The funnel is there to turn cold traffic into fans, but that doesn't mean it stops there. You should be running one promotion at least every quarter or so, while sending out free content in between.
You could also sell your albums on a "store" page, or you could simply add descending links from a drop down menu in your nav bar, such as I have on MusicMarketingManifesto.com if you click on "products & Services.
Let me know if I can help with anything else.
