Hi,
I'm wondering whether it's worth adjusting the sending times in my email funnel to Mon-Thurs because of better open rates on those days (except for email 2 and 3 of the the LTO which would always come 1 day later). Or will that slow down the progression of the funnel too much causing folks to lose interest?
Thoughts?
Rachel
Hi Rachel,
My personal opinion is that the addition of variable gaps between emails confuses the mathematical precision of the funnel a bit too much, at least for me. So I don't do that.
You could always clone your campaign though and test both ways. You never know unless you test.
One thing though...
Keep in mind that Aweber sends based on the time zone of the person who created the campaign. So you just want to make sure people are receiving emails when you think they are. Aweber doesn't make this clear, and I have a number of campaigns that I set up in New Zealand. I assumed they were going out based on Los Angeles time, because my account is set up when I lived in Los Angeles, and my billing is still Los Angeles. I was way off on my send times and people were receiving emails at 2 in the afternoon, until I caught the mistake. Just something to be aware of.
