Just wanted to share that my podcast went really well! I tried to stick to my USP, which was pretty hard, given that the format of the show was organic-conversation based (so it ended up pretty random but fun). I think overall I could have done better in terms of sticking to my USP and telling my story but the good news is, that it went so well, the host and I became friends instantly!
He wants me back for more episodes and I'm even welcome to promote my stuff whenever I like, which is super kind. And I might even get the opportunity to create a soundtrack for a project too, if all goes well...
I would have never thought that all this would come from a facebook ad! 🙂
Thank you for your tips again, on overcoming anxiety and nerves. It was helpful to know that you went through a similar thing and managed to overcome it, despite the fact that you still experienced this in your 30's (I'm 36 and almost felt like I'm too old to be anxious now, which then almost made me more anxious)
That's really fantastic Mira! Stoked to hear it. I missed that this all came through a FB ad. That's something we often don't talk about enough. Almost everyone who runs ads for any amount of time has secondary benefits like that. Offers for interviews, gigs, etc. It really increases the ROI on your ads when you consider what you'd spend on a PR service to get you the same opportunity. Good stuff and congrats.Â

Thanks John! Yes, the ROI on this definitely wasn't expected! This little victory has already opened the eyes of some of my fellow musician friends, when it comes to running ads. (I do keep trying to send said friends your way!) 🙂
And speaking of public forums, I'm onto the next thing already. Your copywriting course inspired me to do a practice piece on my socials. I just wrote a shorter version of my 1st blog post and added a photo to see what would happen...
Not only was this my most engaging post ever, suddenly an international human rights organization contacted me. They've invited me to talk about my story and raise awareness at a meeting for young people, youth workers and teachers.
It's a huge honour and feels like a massive responsibility! But if it helps just one person out there, then that's beyond awesome 🙂
And that's not even it, this also lead to something else, which is really hush hush at this point, so I don't feel comfortable posting it in a forum. It has something to do with my brand/image being represented in a project.
I'm kind of floored by all this, I haven't even finished your copywriting course just yet! But I'm kind of going off topic now.

That's incredible! Congrats. So amazing how just opening yourself up a little bit more has had such a tremendous impact. I'm extremely excited for you. You are clearly on the right track. This is what happens when you dial in your USP and align your message with the right market. It also sounds like it's really starting to click that at the end of the day, marketing is just the art of having conversations on mass. Really proud of you. Well done. Keep me posted on things.
