Just wondering whether postage and packaging prices added on at the checkout hurt sales?
I’m going to be selling cd’s and vinyl - CD’s for £10 + £2 p&p and vinyls for £20 + £4.30 p&p.
My LTO is 25% off either option with the same p&p prices.
So I’ll receive £11.70 per unit and I paid £3.60 per unit. After taking other general running costs into account (web hosting, advertising and all that shit) I’m just trying to work out if it’s cost effective without the p&p or not?
Would be great to hear your thoughts based on previous case studies you’ve had.
Thanks
Hi Samuel,
Because I have worked much more with digital products, I don't have any specific numbers or case studies for you. However, the simplest way to find out is to test things. You could create two identical sales pages with the only difference being shipping and handling on one and not the other. Then you would create two identical campaigns, and then use the split test strategy I teach in the latest IC lesson: https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....campaigns/
Let us know what you find out.
