QuoteJust wanted to pop in real quick and share an obscure solution to an equally obscure problem I've been having, because I know at least a few other MMM members have mentioned having the same problem.
A while back (at least a year or two, I forget exactly how long), funnel support ads stopped working for me. They would get approved, and show active, but not deliver at all. I assumed this was an audience size thing, since Facebook clearly says "if your custom audience is too small your ads may not deliver." But after several different chats with support, I was assured there was absolutely nothing wrong and my ads should be working. So I gave up for a while.
But recently I had to contact support over a different issue, and they noticed something that turned out to fix my funnel support ads as well! Something I certainly wasn't aware of in the slightest, and really doesn't make much sense.
In a nutshell, I had problems with bots from India spamming my FB page for a little while, so I put visibility restrictions on my page so the bots couldn't see it. And apparently, if you place visibility restrictions on your page by country, and then target any country unable to see your page (even by entering "worldwide" as we do for funnel support ads) your ad is automatically dropped by the system. No notification, no "please target only countries where your page is visible" or something, not even disapproval of the ad. It just...won't deliver. At all.
I can confirm that by removing my country restrictions, funnel support ads are back to working completely fine. So if anyone else has been having weird issues with funnel support ads not delivering, check to make sure there's nothing weird with your page visibility settings. Now of course this is just my experience, and it's a little weird that none of the other "support concierges" I spoke with knew about this issue, but apparently it's a thing.

That's really interesting Kevin. I don't think I ever use worldwide for any of my ads (or if I did years ago I've long forgotten) so perhaps that's why I've not seen this.

I tested both, they both worked after removing the restrictions, but reach gives me cheaper results so I'm sticking with that one for now.

How many leads per day at the time the ads stopped working? Can't remember exactly, it was almost 2 years ago.
The funnel support ads delivered effectively with as few as 20 leads a day when we first started using them in 2017. The day they stopped delivering was as abrupt as if someone pulled a plug.
Depending on our spending and targeting, we get as many as 75-100 leads per day. The support ads still not deliver. Changed from traffic to reach, as you advised, no difference.

Hey, I can't help but think that something is wrong in the set up as I can't imagine why they would dry up entirely with that many leads coming in each day. I'll have to play with it a bit and report back with some real time results.
