Hey John
I'm just trying to improve my squeeze page headline and wanted to get some feedback if thats cool and to see if I'm heading in the right direction. Still digging for a possible replacement for the "doc marten and faded denims" copy but will get there eventually. Thanks John
Old headline:
Dig Up Those Doc Martens, slice up those faded jeans and experience a rock artist whose music has been described as having "Convincing Clarity" by The Citizen
New Headline:
Dig Up Those Doc Martens, slice up those faded denims and explore a rock singer-songwriter whose vocals channel a graceful/uncanny intensity reminiscent of the late Jeff Buckley, met with the unapologetic vigour of a nineties alt-rock sound/ensemble/outfit.
Just vomiting new ideas onto the page as they develop..
Dig up those doc martens, (take a front row seat)/(sink into every spectrum of emotion) and experience...
Dig Up Those Doc Martens, slice up those faded denims and explore a rock artist whose vocals channel a graceful/uncanny/smooth intensity reminiscent of the late Jeff Buckley, fastened into the defiance/turbulence of a nineties alt-rock sound/ensemble/outfit.
Last one I promise..
Dig Up Those Doc Martens, strut/amble through/swagger across every spectrum of emotion and explore a rock artist whose vocals channel a graceful/uncanny/smooth intensity reminiscent of the late Jeff Buckley, fastened into the defiance/turbulence of a nineties alt-rock sound/ensemble/outfit.
Hey Jean,
The last one is probably my favorite, but they are all close enough to test. That's the only way to know at this stage.
The only thing I would say is that those are all versions of the same thing. It would probably pay to try totally different approaches. Sans the "dig up those Doc Martens: on some of them. For all you know, that sentence is the problem.
There is a bit of a chirpy, up beat salesy quality to the "dig up those Doc Martens" approach that may turn off a more jaded authenticity-focused audience. Or maybe not.

Thanks for the feedback John. Personally I don't get the chirpy sales vibe but I think I get what you mean. This is what I settled on for now. http://www.jeanmorrisonmusic.c.....free-music. I also changed the body copy quite a bit.
I'll give other headlines a think. I cant seem to remember, how would you split test a squeeze page headline again?
By "chirpy sales vibe" I just mean that it sounds fairly slick, like more traditional ad copy in the way that it is framed and is up beat. But test it and see what happens. If it doesn't convert well then perhaps you might look at it again later.

Been playing around with a few more ideas over the past few days, so at least I've got something to fall back on if it doesn't stick. I know you've mentioned split testing squeeze page headlines before but how would you do that again? Is there a lesson where you speak about this? Thanks
Hey Jean,
I thought this was a good suggestion for a lesson and I just created it with you in mind. Here you go: https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....eeze-page/
I also created one on tags per your request: https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....bout-tags/

Holy shit! Thanks so much John, that's pretty incredible and very much appreciated. Glad I'm good for something haha.
Happy to help. Suggestions for lessons don't come in nearly as often as you'd think. So when they do, I do my best to make the lesson. You got two 🙂

Hey John
I know this might sound a little cheeky especially after the two lessons you just posted from my requests but if you happened to release music ads workshop 4.0, I'd totally buy that full price right now! Just saying. I have so many questions.
Totally understand. It's needed. I have taken MAW 3.0 off the market as a result of the needed update. My first priority is MMM 5 which should be out in October, along with TunePipe. But that will have updated Facebook ad training.
MAW 4.0 won't realistically be out until early 2022. Each course takes a few months to get together.
