Can someone send me a link to their "Thank You" page; the one that people see once they
become subscribers? I have a note to myself to create a thank you page, but I've
forgotten what is supposed to be on it.

Thanks.

I do something a tad different. I have the viral referrer script set up on my thank you page: http://www.johnomusic.net/free.....track.html

I will soon be changing that to the Download Revealer form the Viral Music Tool Kit. It works much better.

This is the page before they actually confirm: http://www.johnomusic.net/conf.....ation.html

Ok, I remember these now. I'm working on getting mine set up too.

Thanks John!

Here's my Welcome Page (after they confirm) with the Viral Music Player implemented: http://www.damienraps.com/welcome.html

It's been working well for me so far. Some verbiage "borrowed" from John's page. Hope you don't mind dude! 😉

John,

Do you display both pages? The confirmation page explains that they still need to check their email before they
get the download link, and the viralreferrer page says that the link is already being sent. Do these get displayed
one after the other?

Don't mind at all, but I'm getting a server not found error when I go to the page. Is it working?

If I understand your question right, then yes. People sign up and get the "you still need to confirm" page. Then when they click the confirmation link they get taken to a page that says your download is on it's way but while I have you here, check this out... or something to that effect. But there are no hard and fast rules here. You can configure things in a number of ways.

Oh boy...sorry, I just recently changed my "rapper" name and along with that my squeeze page URL haha. Here it is: http://www.myfreehiphop.com/welcome.html nothing fancy really.

I went back and forth for a while on whether or not to place the VMP one page earlier in the sign-up process (that being the 'confirmation' page) but I felt like I'd be asking folks to do too much at that point (go click confirmation link, click here to share/listen etc.). I figured one call to action at a time seemed most fluid and manageable. Just my humble opinion 😉 Hope this helps anyone who might be in a similar situation.

Ok, so I guess I'm not getting how to make the page with the VMP pitch come up when they click on the confirmation link in the email?

I was just going to change my thank you page to tell them to go confirm and then continue on with the copy leading up to the "click here to share and get my other free track." But like Damien says, I think that's too much to do on one page.

I have my regular "Thank you - check your email and confirm" page up and working. How do I get the VMP page to come up next in the sequence of events?

Hey Tim, not sure who you use for your autoresponder but with Aweber there's a field where you can enter in your 'Confirmation Success Page URL'...once your page URL is entered here, folks will automatically be redirected to this specified page AFTER clicking the confirmation link.

I believe this option is under MyLists/then click on your List/then click the Confirmed Opt-In tab...scroll down and you'll see the field to enter.

Hope this helps man. Best of luck!

Ok, thanks Damien! I use Aweber, but I didn't know about that option. Should be a big help!

Thanks again!

Tim

Looks great Damien. Only thing I might recommend is to change the text up on the player to say something more like "click share to get a free download" as apposed to "listen". I realize your copy explains they can listen, but my first impression was that all I got was a listen. A download being more valuable, I would tell them. But good job!

Ahhh you're right. I completely overlooked that! I'll get that switched up asap! Thanks for the feedback! 😉
