...so get your mobile squeeze page up already! I didn't realize I was losing subs because they were accessing my page by phone. I was making people resize, scroll around, and read microscopic text that looks nice on a desktop but doesn't read well on a phone. I now redirect all my squeeze pages to a single mobile squeeze page. All my conversions have since gone up.
Incidentally, Tim discovered, and experience appears to confirm, that the following code works better than the "screen size" redirect. Scott also agreed that it's probably more robust:

Cheers!
Good stuff Charley. Mind explaining a little more for people on how to sub out that code?
For anyone who is new here, last month's module comes with a squeeze page template. Check it out.

Does Charley's code make a squeeze page that's easier to view than the code on the template we were given?
Actually, I have to give credit to Tim. It's not that it displays better, it just displays more reliably. Before revising the code, it was only detecting my phone about half the time on my android (samsung galaxy).
Julianna,
The code just redirects viewers who are using one of the listed devices from your regular
squeeze page to view whatever you have in the mobile.html file. If you want to make a the
template display differently, you would have to edit the actual html in this file.
To use the code, you simply copy all of it and place it somewhere after the
tag in
your regular squeeze page but also before the
closing tag. If you do not see a model
of device that should be in there, like Nokia for example, just add it to the list of devices making
sure to use the vertical bar '|' as a seperator.
Ah so, Thanks! It will probably make more sense to me as I'm looking at the squeeze page html. for some reason the code is getting chopped off in my browser so I'm not sure I've gotten it all from Charley's post...

Do I just paste this in as is? I'm pretty clueless. Thanks!
This is so helpful- thanks Charley and Tim - now I am going to try to plug it into my blog so as not to endure charley's wrath! 🙂

Finally! Hey...I see you're getting caught up on the last 6 months at the forum. 🙂 do you have a long layover or something? LOL! Hope you're doing well, my friend. I'm on vacation in Hawaii! Actually, I lived here for about 10 years. We're taking the kids back to see where they were born and went to kindergarten and stuff like that.
Yeah, doing some serious catching up aye?
Charlie: Totally off topic from this thread but did we talk about the fact that you lived in Hawaii? If not, I'm born and raised in Waimanalo, Oahu. Where did you live?

We did talk about it briefly. I lived in Kalihi Valley for about a year, Makakilo for about 6 years, and then a couple years in Kaimuki. I just drove through Waimanalo today. I remember being a haole completely out of my element. People think Hawaii is paradise, but it can be a weird place to live. LOL! Right, brah?! 🙂
I'm totally enjoying being a tourist. It is beautiful. And I love seeing friends I haven't seen in years. My daughter stepped on a wana on Monday, but she's doing better. We're going to the Arizona Memorial tomorrow. Take care!
Cool, yeah, the convo rings a bell now, but I somehow forgot. I hope to get back home soon. I hated growing up there but i miss it when I'm away. And yes, growing up a white kid in Waimanalo was interesting to say the least 😉

We're sitting in the airport right now. I've been close to tears most of the morning. I want to be here -- I just don't want to live here! Aloha!
Ha, yeah, that was always my dilemma. I miss it so bad I sometimes sit around watching web cams around the island. then I go there and want to leave after a week. Whatareyagonnado?
