Hey John, I'm posting a video today and I also want to advertise it for two reasons:
1. To get views
2. To get enough views to create a custom audience of 50% watchers
I think I'm gonna lump a bunch of my target interests into one audience for this, and choose just the USA to target...
-Is this right?
-Should I choose video views as my objective?
-Do I optimize for thru-play or something else?
-Anything else I should know before I run the ad?
Thanks!
PS- I think there was an old MAW lesson about this but I'm having trouble finding it. If these questions are more easily answered there, feel free to just drop the link to that lesson if you have it on hand and I'll watch it - thank you!
Hey Brian,
Yep, you have it correct.
Use video views as the objective and optimize for thru-plays. You can target a group of interests for something like this, or you can stick with a lookalike, which will in turn create a more optimized lookalike (at least in theory).
I would create custom audiences /lookalikes for 50%, 75%, and 95%. You can experiment with each. But better to create them now.
I think that covers it but let me know if you still have questions.
