Hey John, I’m adding to my “Live-streaming tip jar” post-
So let’s say they watched our live stream, they liked it and then clicked over to our site to tip us...
*Is there a seamless way to send them to an upsell after they tip us?
I know we’d have to somehow add them to our list to do this-
But if we did, maybe we can say something like “Thank you for the tip! We really appreciate your support during these trying times🙏🏾 Please consider buying our box set at this discounted price”
Or something like that?
The biggest challenge seems to be adding them to our list-
So maybe it’d be easiest to just message or retarget everyone who tipped saying thank you and please join our email list?
Hi Brian,
Steve here. John is currently away for a few days, so I wanted to give you a courtesy reply.
This is a great question because it does seem like that with the current situation being what it is, there's a good opportunity to get yourself in front of people that may have otherwise been too busy to stop and give notice. So yeah, I can definitely understand waiting to make the most of the opportunity.
I'm still doing some digging on this myself.
I know when you have a Paypal account, you can also get a unique Paypal url. It's a Paypal.me url
The only thing is that right now I'm still researching if and how this could integrate into Aweber.
But yeah, sign into Paypal first. Then go to https://paypal.me and grab a url. You can just paste it into a Facebook post, or whatever you're using.
I'll try to follow up if I find out more, but I'll also leave a note for John to jump in when he returns.
Hi Brian,
Yes, you could do exactly what you are asking by using the "pay what you want" strategy that I just covered here: https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....-you-want/
The difference of course would be the way you position the offer. I wouldn't even use a sales page if you were soliciting tips online. Just set up a nice clean redirect such as https://www.brianrogersmusic.com/tips
And then direct to the pay what you want link. Then set up a redirect to an aweber form, and then redirect to a thank you page that functions like an upsell page after people ad their details. I'd also recommend adding a few follow up emails to the customer list to push the upsell for a few days after the order, just to make sure you hit those that close the page without reading. Make sense?
Having trouble with your marketing? Wish you could have an experienced direct-to-fan marketing expert look over your actual campaigns, music, or content and offer feedback? Or perhaps you’re just looking for a little one-on-one assistance so you can ask questions that pertain to your specific goals and get a second, more experienced, perspective? Right on I’m stoked to check out this lesson- the only thing potentially confusing is the part you said about redirecting to an Aweber form.
But then of course, I haven’t watched the lesson yet. I’m sure it will become very clear as soon as I do.
Thanks for this custom solution- right on time✅
Hey Brian,
It'll make sense when you watch the lesson. If not, let me know 🙂
