I get an email from Wordpress with a Wordfence alert every time I login to my website.  Wondering if anyone has some

thoughts about allowing the emails to continue or if there's any drawbacks to disabling the emails.  I found a plugin that's called

disable emails that will stop all emails from wordpress here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/.....le-emails/

Not sure if I should use it and disable ALL wordpress emails??  The emails do tend to get annoying.  Any thoughts or has anyone used

disable emails plugin??

Thanks in advance

Anthony

Hi Anthony,

I would absolutely NOT disable them. The whole point of having wordfence is to know if you are hacked, or if the site goes down, or if something needs updating. The plugin has saved my butt more than a few times when my sites have been hacked. I get an immediate alert that code has changed and can go in and take action before any damage is done. And the list of benefits goes on.

But if you just don't want the alert, then you can remove your email address from the plugin itself and turn off notifications. But at that stage, there is almost no reason to have a security plugin like that, in my opinion.
