I'm new here and would love some feedback on my squeeze page please!

I'm using Mailchimp. Anyone know how to use google anylytics with the Mailchimp squeeze page? I haven't managed to figure it out.
Thanks,
Graeme

Hi Graeme,
It's a nice looking page. I do have a couple suggestions for you...
The first one is the location of the opt-in box. Generally you want this to be "above the fold", or visible on the page without people having to scroll down. However this can be tested the way it is to see how it does. This is just a recommendation
Another thing is that you may want to test having the call to action be a bit more prominent. Even making the text bold will mae it stand out a little bit more.
Lastly is the submit button. Currently yours says "Subscribe to list", which is fine because that is what they are doing. The problem is that you'll find that people get wary of "subscribing to lists." However they totally love to "Get My FREE Music".
Personally, I love the press reviews and the award graphic. Nice page! Just watch your conversion numbers and consider testing the things I've mentioned.
As far as using analytics with Mailchimp... they don't necessarily have to go hand in hand. You can install google analytics on the page itself, but a cool trick I've learned from John is to make copies of your squeeze page for each traffic source you are using, then create a new squeeze form for each page copy. That way you can not only measure your conversions separately, but also see how well each traffic source converts very accurately.
Just be sure no "noindex" your page copies. (Feel free to ask if this is something you are not familiar with).
Good stuff.
Steve
I love the idea of the contest. I'm usually more susceptible to contests than free offers because it makes me feel like I might win something of real value. Sometime when something is offered for free, I feel like it must not be worth much. The combination of free songs and the contest is really interesting.
I'm not sure about asking for an address right away. It's a lot to fill out, and you might want to win some trust before asking for an address. You could pick an email and then email the winner asking for their address to send the prize.
I would love to know how it works for you.
Hey Graeme,
It looks like others have covered this but just to throw my two cents in...
The site looks pretty good and if you told me it converted well for you I wouldn't be surprised. But if it's not converting, the changes I would make would be as follows...
1. I would lose the logo at the top and go right into the headline.
2. I would make the headline bolder.
3. I would experiment with some different headlines and see what converted best. I am trying more and more to tap into what people actually want (which is an experience, not a download). I would also make sure the contest was helping. Sometimes these things are counter intuitive. But it's a good idea so it very well might be worth keeping.
4. I would draw more attention to the opt in box.
5. I would definitely test a page without an address. I would be surprised to learn that having the address fields was not hurting you. The more you ask for, the worse pages convert... usually.
6. I might even experiment with a different color site. White and light blue tends to do the best.
7. Finally, I think having the press quotes are great, but I might try to integrate them more with a conversational tone.. They just sort of jump out as a statement of fact, rather than like someone is speaking to em and telling me all the cool things about you, the artist.
But keep in mind, that is all just opinion. Testing and results are all that matter.
Watch the new Facebook Ads training module and see how much the right headline can change things. It's worth watching even if you never plan to advertise with FB.
As for analytics, that is not something that you need to integrate with your autoresponder but rather with your page itself.

Thanks for all the replies. I've made some changes to the page.
Unfortunately I've come to realise that Mailchimp doesn't have the facilities to change the squeeze page much. Unless you know coding that is (which I don't). So the sign up form has to stay at the bottom of the page
Ive taken out some of the text and 1 image so that the form is visible without having to scroll down too much.
