Hi!

First, I'm a new member, signed up last week. I've always been into marketing but I've never really got this concept of building alist until I found John's podcast and was sold! I've been into trying to become a professional musician for 5 years, always struggeling but it seems that this program is the thing that will take me there. I've been touring europe and nationalwise alot and we've got some new fans but nothing we can really track. Actually I canceled a UK tour now in july because I realised we'll loose so much money and that money and time would be better to be invested in marketing and building our list.

My programmer just set up our squeeze page, it has the general background of our own site. First I used John's template but my programmer re-programed it entierly. I might think this design is to advanced since I checked out some other squeeze pages. But I'm willing to give it a try and see how it converts.

Could you guys give me some feedback, and also if you have time sign up and see the autoresponder emails that I've written and tell me if there is something I can improv there aswell.

Also, check out our main site http://www.firstbornofficial.com we're gonna update this with a new design and other features and put the sign box in there aswell, right now we have our own script on the mainsite.

You can also check out a music video here :-)

Thanks!

Best Wishes

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

The interesting thing about designers is that while they are great at their art, they don't really understand marketing a lot of the time.

What he's done for you looks amazing, but it's not a squeeze page.  That said, I would totally keep what he has designed for your official site.  It really does look great.

You might look into getting a second domain, totally separate from the official site and setting up the squeeze page there.  A good squeeze page is designed with conversion of visitors to subscribers as it's sole purpose.

This means removing any distractions and links to other content.  You simply want a page that makes a strong offer to your targeted visitors and a prominent call to action for folks to sign up in order to receive the offer.  Once they are on the list, you can send them to any piece of content you wish to share with them.  Before then, conversion should be your main focus.

Check out John's squeeze page and see how concise it is, while moving people to the sign-up form almost instantly:
