Since these days I do very little music and have virtually traded my bass guitar for the keyboard (computer keyboard that is), I thought I'd share a link to the original project I was involved in up until a few years ago.

The band is called Omega A.D. and we were hugely inspired by Metallica, Black Sabbath and Pantera among others. We called the style "Heavy Rock" (as opposed to "heavy metal"). I heard John call this style "Active Rock" which I'd never heard previously...

Anyway - here's the proof that I'm more than a wannabe marketer...I'm also a wannabe musician/song-writer/lyricist!Smile

Hey Mike.....turn it up is right! Unfortunately I listened over crummy headphones on my wifes laptop. I would love to pump that stuff through my big sound system that I used to use for outdoor shows back when I had a sound company! My favorite was "Lost". Never thought for a minute that you were a wannabe though, and still don't!

What would a jam session with Gordon Lightfoot, Collective Soul, and Damien Rice sound like?

Check out Greg Parke and you’ll have a pretty good idea!

Hey Mike!

I love your music! I'm glad to find some very talented canadian musicians out here!Laugh

I used to live in Montreal, but I've been to Hamilton for work. Nice place. Do you tour a lot? I see that your site is under construction... I'll check it out later.

Have a free track now!: Gratitude

Hi Isabelle,

The site has been 'under construction' for a while because the band is on an extended hiatus - our last gig was in 2007! There's nothing on the horizon at the moment, but if we can find the time and manage to work independently while emailing song files back and forth then I'm sure we can get something going again!

I thought I'd share the video we made for our song called "Meatgrinder" - if for no other reason than to display the fact that I once did have long hair!

I'm also testing out some software - if it works you should see the video embedded below - see if you can tell the difference from the above video version and this one on our band website:

Nice. Thanks for sharing that. I think a new avatar with a pic of you with your metal hair is called for 🙂

But the second video didn't embed. It was just a link.

Yeah - the second video contains a script that the forum code doesn't seem to like - was worth a try though!
