Hi all, new member here, I'm looking forward to networking with like minded musicians and sharing music and ideas on how we can all market ourselves and our talents better!
Here's my website for my solo project The Spiral Sequence -
http://www.thespiralsequence.com
It's a Wordpress based site, using a purchased theme I modified fairly heavily, though it was actually pretty easy to do. I work as a graphic designer day to day and designed all the artwork for the site and album.
There's a widget on the right hand side where you can listen to the ten tracks from Through Shadow Into Light, the debut album from The Spiral Sequence. I wrote, recorded and mixed the album completely solo. Any and all feedback on which songs you think might be best for new squeeze pages are very welcome!
Hey James. Good to have you here.Don't know what was up but I couldn't get anything but the first track to load. Most likely my internet and not your site. It sounded good but it was all I heard. Do you have a CD Baby page or something that doesn't refresh the page every time I click on a track? It seemed to be doing that. My internet is terrible though so it could just be me

Hey John, thanks for having a listen Not sure what's happening with the bandcamp widget on the main page as it loads here fine, but you can try checking out my page on soundcloud, it has a few of the album tracks plus a few ambient instrumentals as well:

You could perhaps try the main bandcamp store page too, it has all the album tracks:

Great to be here, I'm enjoying the lessons and looking forward to putting the course material into practice. I really like your approach and I can see you've put a lot of time and effort into this, well done.
Thanks James. Got it working now. Very epic sounding stuff. Something tells me you're a Coast To Coast AM listener
If so, there's a targeting option for you.

Well spotted John, while I was writing the album I was listening to Coast to Coast AM podcasts quite a lot, so there was definitely some lyrical inspiration there!
I've submitted music to the program for their monthly emerging artist feature, but no luck with airplay on the show yet. I like the idea of using it as a targeting option though, good call for sure.
I'm enjoying the MMM 3.0 lessons, already picked up a few new tricks from your information - great stuff! Hoping to get through most of it this week.
Thanks again for listening!
Nice. I am a subscriber to their paid membership. Been listening for 20 years or so. Though I miss the days of Art Bell. Nibiru was the tip off. Might be a cool way to position yourself to their audience. Find authors of related books, etc.

Nibiru is a bit of a giveaway I'm currently a paid subscriber as well but only started listening about five years ago, so I missed out on hearing much from Art Bell. I've heard a lot about him though of course. I haven't been listening as much lately, but I love the range of topics, all very interesting stuff! I like your suggestion about related authors, as I've read a lot of interesting books after listening to the program, by Jim Marrs, Graham Hancock and others. I guess my niche is alternative thinkers/conspiracy theorists/Coast subscribers/metal fans!
Yeah, totally. There are a lot of related sites out there that offer advertising. It would be worth targeting them and seeing what happens.
