Hey guys,
I am the manager/saxophonist of the band Urkel & The Winslows. We’ve been together for about a year and a half and recently released a 4-song demo that you can check out and download on our website http://www.urkelandthewinslows.com/. Let me know what you think…I’m kind of excited to hear what other musicians have to say!

Sounds good Mike,
I'm a big fan of ska. In fact the first song I ever performed live was Take Warning by Operation Ivy. Ska was a big deal when I was a teenager back in Hawaii. Listening to your stuff brought back memories.
You ever check out Slim Smith? He's not ska exactly. More rocksteady from back before reggae even technically existed. He's one of the little known fathers of reggae music and all the off-shoots. It's a trip to hear because so much of the really old stuff was trying to sound like American R&B but instead accidentally creating it's own sound almost by accident. Anyway, really good music.

Hey Mike,
For my ears, you guys are as tight as it gets. I've got shitty netbook speakers and the recording sounds really great, man.
LOL at Op Ivy. We use to substitute "Take Warning" with "Skate Boarding" in sing-along fashion.
Also "Freeze Up" ....... "There's a pizza, there's a pizza comin!" anyways.... 🙂

Good Job! I really liked "Broken Reggae. And also great job with the videos, showing both a live gig and an unplugged bit.
What would a jam session with Gordon Lightfoot, Collective Soul, and Damien Rice sound like?
Check out Greg Parke and you’ll have a pretty good idea!
