Hi John and fellow musicians,
I recently started my first Facebook ad campaign and although my ads are getting a decent amount of clicks (about 7 cents per click) by targeting Indie Folk artists like Amos Lee, people do not seem to be signing up for my free download/joining my mailing list once they get to my squeeze page. I am wondering if there is something about my squeeze page that is deterring people, or perhaps I'm targeting the wrong audience? Any insight would be much appreciated. I'll include links to my squeeze page and album page below.

Hi Luke,
I can spot a few potential issues, but before I just fire off in every direction, can you list the following?
1. Who are you targeting (interest, location, demographic)?
2. How much are you paying per landing page view?
3. What is your click through rate (to landing page)?
4. How much are you paying per subscriber?
5. In aweber, under sign up forms, what is the unique conversion rate for the form on your squeeze page? (and let me know if you did not use a unique form for your squeeze page).
6. Check subscribers in aweber and tell me what percentage of your subscribers say "confirmation pending" (if you have confirmed opt in on).
Once I know the above I can better comment.

Hi John,
1. A few people have said that my genre is "Singer/Songwriter" or "Indie Folk Music". So I have been targeting fans of Iron & Wine, Bon Iver, and Amos Lee.
Location: United States, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and United Kingdom.
Demographics: Between 25 and 60. I have seen the most leads from 45-55 so far.
2. I am seeing $0.17 per landing page view on my current ad.
3. The click through rate is 3.21%
4. I am paying about $5.00 per subscriber. When I first started this ad it was getting closer to $1.50 per subscriber for a couple of days but has gotten worse since then.
5. Squeeze page conversion rate in Aweber is 2.4%.
6. I do not have confirmed opt in turned on.
Sorry, is that a typo? Is it 2.4% or 24% in aweber?

No it is 2.4% if I'm looking in the right place. Under sign up forms, over to the right-hand side, under "conversion rate", my main squeeze says 2.4%.
Hi Luke,
Ok, that's very low. But it can be turned around.
Most of your stats are ok, and your price per conversion was even decent originally (which I'm shocked at given your low conversion rate). This indicates that the problem is related to the squeeze page. But it could also be related to targeting.
I would start by watching this lesson: https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....camp-2019/
Once you've watched that, come back here and post your thoughts on where you think you may be going wrong and we can discuss.

Hi John,
I watched that video last night as well as "Dialing In A New Campaign Part 1" video about Visemenn and I think my squeeze page just wasn't conveying what kind of music I make quickly enough. I took a lot of notes and made a few tweaks that I think do a better job of that and beefed up my USP. I also started a new Campaign targeting Jack Johnson, The Lumineers and Vance Joy and added a lot of dynamic creative options to the new ads so that I can see how they each perform over the next few days.
I'm still concerned that I may not be targeting the right audience too. I have a very hard time comparing myself to other artists so I am not sure who people think I sound similar to. Is there any chance you could take a quick listen so I can hear your first impression?
Hi Luke,
I don't think you exactly sound like Jack Johnson, but I think you are in the same wheelhouse.
If you are unsure of what your music sounds like, there are a number of things you can do to determine what artists your music sounds similar to. Here are a few suggestions…
However, there is an even more important thing to consider when it comes to targeting.
It is your USP (Unique Selling Proposition) that is even more important than your music itself.
This is because it is the promise that you make about the experience that your music offers that is going to draw people in. How your music sounds will determine if people fall in love with it, so you must also target people who like your music. But when it comes to making that initial conversion, it is going to be that unique selling proposition, and your ability to communicate it in your ad and lading page copy, that is going to entice people to sign up to your mailing list.
If you do not see a significant jump in your conversion rate, after the next round, please come back and post.

The links don't work for me so perhaps that could be the issue? I get 404s for both.
Maybe the website is down for some people and not others - perhaps a DNS issue?
