Has anyone used Ustream to tour online? How does that work exactly?

I have always wondered if there was an approach to this as well so I second Micheal's request. Not sure how you would do a tour though UNLESS it was a website by website approach. This week I am playing an exclusive show for http://www.whoever.com users/members.

Got something music on your mind? I have a music blog called Musicgoat.com too. Come and submit a guest post.

Hey guys. That's exactly how you would do it Corey. Website by website. You would find web masters with a decent following and offer to put on a special event just for their audience. Then you would use a "selling from the back of the room" approach to move Cds. IE, a discount for everyone watching that goes away as soon as the event is over.

In an ideal world you could convince the web master to blast their list and tell everyone to sign up for tickets. that way you could drive everyone to a dedicated squeeze page and build your list.

Hopefully you would be able to convince the web master to do this just so that they have some cool content to send to their subscribers. But if not, you could also offer a percentage of the sales and present it as an income opportunity.

I'd also recommend that you plug their product as well somewhere between songs, or with branding in the background. This is another selling point.

Having trouble with your marketing? Wish you could have an experienced direct-to-fan marketing expert look over your actual campaigns, music, or content and offer feedback? Or perhaps you’re just looking for a little one-on-one assistance so you can ask questions that pertain to your specific goals and get a second, more experienced, perspective?
