Hello everyone,
I'm mostly interested in increasing performance attendance. I've done flyers and Facebook ads, as well as splitting shows w/ other local acts, all to no effect. What are some means of getting more people at performances?
Thanks for your help,
Twang!

Hi Jimi,

Have you checked out the Geo-targeting lesson?
https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....-tracking/

You'll be able to pull some good info from that lesson about targeting certain geographic regions, so that you can build location-based subscriber lists to market your live shows to.

Keep in mind that some aspects of Facebook advertising have changed since that lesson was shot, but the ad-tracking features in Aweber still work the same as ever.

Let us know how you make out.

This would only help if I already had a list of people in this area. I'm looking for how to bring people to local shows without a list (as I don't have much of one at the moment).

Hey Jimi,

The aim of that lesson, and my advice in this situation would be to use geo-targeted ads to build a mailing list in whatever towns you want to perform. Rather than advertising a show (which usually doesn't work very well), I would build my list using geo-targeted ads. Hopefully your funnel does it's job and at least covers the cost of the subscribers, while also gaining you a nice list of people that are close to you geographically. Then you can promote your shows to that list and you should get a decent turn out.

You might also check out the "touring smart" lesson.

Ok, but what if I'm not using Aweber? I've been using Mailchimp for my lists, and the idea of changing what service I'm using everytime I take a new seminar isn't appealing. Can this be done on a platform other than Aweber?

Hey Jimi,

Absolutely. The geo targeting pat of this all takes place on Facebook. All you need to do is create a unique list for your target city and place it on a unique page that you drive local traffic to. You may also have some tracking options in Mailchimp. You'd need to check with them.

If you go through the "Touring Smart" lesson you will get a better sense of what I'm describing.

Ok, so now the problem is I can't get a FaceBook ad to work. Steve already told me he can't help, so I have no idea what to do to move on at this point (since FB ads seem to be the main strategy for all this).

Hi Jimi,

I addressed your question in the other thread you started about it. You can find my response here: https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....ads/#p7730
