Hi John,

Just trying to fully understand the numbers in the ads manager since all the IOS stuff, and I'm a bit confused as when I hover over the little number 2 next to my results number, it seems to be referring to an old conversion event (my old event was called 'karen grace lead'). My new event is called 'subscribers from june 2020'. I did your aggregated event training, so pretty sure that's all in order, but don't understand why there are these little numbers for 'Karen grace lead' ? I have double checked that my conversion event in the ads manager is my new one : 'subscribers from june 2020'/

I have attached a screen shot to show you what I mean with the little numbers.

Am I also right in thinking that the most accurate way of knowing conversion numbers is looking at confirmationed subscribers in aweber, as facebook won't track people on IOS 14?

Thanks !

Karen

Hey Karen,

Unfortunately the screenshot is too small and blurry for me to make things out. But it would likely be too hard for me to completely diagnose without logging in. My assumption based on what you are subscribing is that you are just just showing multiple conversions, irrelevant from what you are optimizing for. But I would just contact FB support for clarity since they can login to your account and see things a bit better.

One thing I do want to address is your belief that FB can no longer track conversions since iOS 14. That is in no way the case. If you stick with FB and Instagram placements and track via your own thank you page, FB can track conversions just fine. They are a little slower than they used to be and there are some reports of a few conversions missing (usually just delayed) but in the grand scheme of things, conversion tracking has never been perfect with Facebook and it is still more than reliable enough.

But you can also track via aweber as an additional means of tracking. Just remember that aweber will track all traffic sources, not just FB ads.
