I am finishing up a keyword targeted article for my Wordpress blog site as part of my routine content updates to my site.
I realized when I finished, that I could just write a different last paragraph and have a whole other article targeting a similar/related
keyword.
My question is: "if I do this and post one arcticle on my site, and the other on a site like HCT, will Google recognize how similar the articles are and penalize me?"
If they only look at the first paragraph in their determination, it might be flagged as duplicate content.
Any insight on this would be appreciated.
Hey Tim,
I definitely wouldn't do that. Make each article unique. Google looks at the entire article and if any significant portion is not unique it can count as a strike against you. Still with 100% unique content at least for the sites that you care about.
