Hi John,
After a recent coaching session with you (very helpful and much appreciated) I'm working my way through the "Dialing In A New Campaign" videos (Feb and March 2019).
I'm at the part where I use the best-performing ad assets to create a post on my Facebook page.
Here's my problem:
From my FB page I create a post, then enter the URL for my squeeze page, etc. The resulting post does not show any image.
I delete the post and start again. This time I manually add the image. The resulting post shows the image but not the band across the bottom with the link and description. And as you say in the monthly training, clicking on the image only opens it, it does not link to my squeeze page.
I've tried clearing the cache, debugging, googling what to do, everything I can think of. It seems I have to choose between the bottom band with link and description or the image, but not both.
Can you help?
Thanks,
Paul
Hi Paul,
You always want to add an actual call to action with a link in it in your organic post. But regardless of how it behaves on your Facebook page, when you use that post as an ad, it behaves differently. You can add a call to action button in the ads manager and everything becomes clickable.
Having trouble with your marketing? Wish you could have an experienced direct-to-fan marketing expert look over your actual campaigns, music, or content and offer feedback? Or perhaps you’re just looking for a little one-on-one assistance so you can ask questions that pertain to your specific goals and get a second, more experienced, perspective? Hi John,
Sorry, I don't quite understand your reply. Please excuse me if that's because I'm still learning.
I'm posting on my Facebook page (as in the Feb 2019 training). If it's helpful to see it you can here:

I can get either the image (non-clickable) to show up, or the clickable calls to action (which link to my squeeze page) but without the image. I can't seem to get both.
I attached screen shots of the two options.
Thanks again,
Paul
PS I just signed up for MMM 5.0. Maybe the newer strategies supersede what I'm trying to do....? Thanks
No worries Paul,
What I'm saying is that when you post it organically like that, the image is not clickable. But when you turn that post into an ad by selecting "use an existing post" the image will become clickable to those who see the ad and try to click. Does that make sense?
So I also suggest including a link with a call to action such as "click here to listen now" in the post body so that people whos ee it organically can still click.
