Hello,
Since Jon did MMM 3.0, Aweber now permits importing subscribers without requiring them to opt-in again. I have a mailing list of about 1,300. I'm weary of just importing my list, because it is going to bump me into the higher price range for Aweber when my funnel is brand new and not really generating any income yet. But at the same time, a lot of people on this list do not have all - or in most cases any - of my albums, so naturally, I would like to get them into my sales funnel.
My question is... what do you recommend for a follow-up series specific to people already on my old list? Should I send them one last email from my old system (Mail Chimp) inviting them to switch over to my Aweber list and go through the same funnel as all the new fans? Or should I import them and create a specific follow-up series?
Thanks!
I'd probably just import them and use the advanced settings so that the first email the receive is the second or third email (whatever made sense) s they don't get any of the welcome stuff. You could also create a dedicated list with it's own follow up series but I'm personally lazy and would probably avoid the extra maintenance requirement 🙂
I wouldn't worry too much about the extra fee. That should cost more than $10/month, and if you can't cover those costs with the increase in sales then something is very wrong.
Hope that helps.
