What kind of PPC campaign are you talking about? There are hundreds of ad networks out there and all of them are different. It might be hard to really explain it in a post as there are entire courses on this, but I can explain the basics. Let me know what platform you are interested in.

Having trouble with your marketing? Wish you could have an experienced direct-to-fan marketing expert look over your actual campaigns, music, or content and offer feedback? Or perhaps you’re just looking for a little one-on-one assistance so you can ask questions that pertain to your specific goals and get a second, more experienced, perspective? I am interested in the Microsoft Ad Network. I would like to Geo target some nearby cities. My list building is going pretty slow, 1 a day and that seems to be trailing off. I've been using Tubetoolbox and Twitter. I get fans on FB slowly but very few seem interested in signing up. I need more list building stategies. Thanks

It's as simple as selecting the city you would like to target from your options when you create a campaign. While it isn't hard, setting it up is a tad complex to describe here. I would just go through the process. If you are confused about it then I would contact their support. they are very helpful. I'll see if I can't come out with a training module on this at some point.

I highly recommend Microsoft Network. They are so helpful. Honestly, if you have questions, just start by signing up and drafting your first ad -- even if you think your ad stinks. Then contact them and they will help you out. They will offer suggestions. They want you to succeed.

I have a LOT of keywords. I know it's helpful on Google to taylor your landing page to your key word, but you don't have to be quite so anal about it on Microsoft Network. I target by genre and sound-alikes. For example: "jazz" "smooth jazz" "nu jazz" "urban jazz" "smooth jazz downloads" "Kenny G" "Boney James" etc. I also target by related subjects like "The Weather Channel" or "TWC." I try to bid so that my ad is about #3 so I don't waste money on the "curious clickers."

I pay about 0.12 a click, and I get a 20 - 25% conversion rate. It really depends on how patient you want to be. You CAN get lower pay per click rates and better conversions, but you might find that you're severely limiting your traffic. If I were you, once you know your squeeze page and auto-responder system are working well, I would just set a monthly budget, and dive in. That's what I did. I learned by experimenting.

Post if you have specific questions. I still love YouTube, but the biggest percentage of my traffic is now PPC.
