That's a good question. As far as I know it comes from the site itself, but in truth I've never looked into it beyond that. I would juts make sure you are mixing it up. Are you getting these via fiverr by chance? I have noticed a number of the good comment services on fiverr all run on disqus powered sites.

I would definitely mix it up then. One thing I do is set a google alert for my main keywords and then quickly check out all the blog post that publish. It's easy to offer a solid comment very quickly on something you know about. I just include my link in my sig so it doesn't insult the site administrators intelligence. They get approved a good deal of the time. But more and more I use services like those on fiverr.
