I've talked about this a lot here and there but was just looking at some impressive stats in an ad campaign I'm running at the moment and thought I'd remind everyone. If you're ever wondering how people get those low 4 or 5 cent clicks, it comes down to very high click through rates. When I run traffic to a post on my blog, I typically always back it up with two targeted adsets in one campaign. One will target just my Facebook followers and one will target a custom audience comprised of my different email lists, which I upload to facebook. I'll set my objective as clicks to website but I'll use the "get me as many clicks as possible" bidding structure. I'll typically get CTRs ranging from 6 - 15% and when that happens I usually pay just pennies per click.
Many people can't understand why they would want to advertise to people they can reach via email. But the reality is that many people just don't open those emails. And even when they do you often catch them at the wrong time and they forget all about it. reinforcing your email blast with an ad is extremely powerful.
