Hi John,

I am still searching for methods to increase organic traffic and keep costs down.

You have mentioned a number of times other avenues of obtaining subscriber support,  such as offering membership

programs or Patreon.  This involves explaining to your subscribers that "I am an independent artist, I need your support",

or something along that theme, and if they are engaged and want to support you, they will.

What are your thoughts about providing subscribers with an option to post an image with a link to your squeeze page on their

Facebook feed?  They could comment in their own words "Check this music out", or whatever.

The image/link could be offered somewhere in the funnel, such as on the thank you page, "Support this artist, share link",

or "Support this artist, copy and post on Facebook".

My thoughts are to ask for support without asking for money, and make it easier for people to do so.  The upside is that they are given an easy way to support you, and it doesn't cost anything.

Mark

Hi Mark,

Steve here.  Have you looked into the update to the Viral Rewards Machine?  It sounds like what you're trying to accomplish through tapping your subscriber's contacts:

Let us know how you make out.

Hey Mark,

Like Steve mentioned, that lesson will layout a good way of accomplishing that. For a low tech version of this you could simply create a FB post that linked to your squeeze page, and then write an email that asked fans to share the post. You could tell people that if they share the post you will message them a link to some sort of a free gift. Then you could manually just click to see who shared it and send it to them. However the lesson offers a more sophisticated way of doing it.

Having trouble with your marketing? Wish you could have an experienced direct-to-fan marketing expert look over your actual campaigns, music, or content and offer feedback? Or perhaps you’re just looking for a little one-on-one assistance so you can ask questions that pertain to your specific goals and get a second, more experienced, perspective?
