Cool. You might want to use the "advanced search" option. Helps narrow it down. By default it searches for post that contain any of your words, which means that most topics show up. By ticking "all words" and "post title" it narrows things down a lot.

Another forum tip, make sure you have your email notifications on for PMs and that you are auto-subscribing to posts you comment on. Click on profile then go to personal options. Tick the options you want and save.

Hi everyone.

I noticed it's been several years since anyone posted on this thread.

It's now 2016.

I'm going through MMM 3.0. There, John is using DreamHost as an example.

I was wondering what the consensus is regarding hosting companies.

DreamHost, GoDaddy ......

Thanks.

Hey IndieBob,

My apologies for the slow response. I remember responding to this shortly after it posted, but it doesn't look like it saved. Sorry to leave you hanging like that.

My personal opinions haven't really changed all that much. I still rely on Dreamhost mostly, but I also have a few sites with Godaddy, and I work with clients all the time who use other hosts. They will all piss you off sooner or later. I'm happy with both Dreamhost and Godaddy, but they both have their problems. I still recommend Dreamhost, purely so that my tutorials line up with what people see.

Thanks for getting back to me John! I'm honoured. I'm about half way through MMM 3. So I have some time to choose.

If I do choose GoDaddy, I'll be sure to start a "GoDaddy" thread, with the intention of creating a "GoDaddy" resource.

Thanks again

b

I've been using supremecenter.com and have no complaints.  They are a shared service.  I have about 25 web sites - a general web site (which my web masters and I are re-designing), the squeeze page, and an individual web site for each of my most important films - plenty of trailers & photos, etc., etc.. - but with a pretty simple, uncluttered design.

Anyway...I've been told that the h1 line is very important.  Is that anyone else's experience?

Hey Eve, the H1 tag is important in terms of SEO. You want to have your target keywords placed within an H1 tag. By default, your post/page headline is an H1 tag, in wordpress.
