Hi John,
As I mentioned on today's call, the arrow for the squeeze page does not show up when I download the code from MMM Lesson 16 where it says "squeeze page code" under the assets. I'm trying to get our squeeze page launched today. When I downloaded the HTML code, it says nothing about an arrow and it also does not reflect on my website. Although I'm using Bandzoogle as my webhost, the arrow does not show up, although the rest of the form does. I also looked at the lesson on sign-up forms, but did not see a code for the arrow there either. If you download the code from lesson 16, I think you'll see that the arrow is absent and the ad copy takes up the whole page, which of course I can work around by adding an additional column to put the arrow in, if I had an HTML code for it that is... I haven't added my sign-up form from Aweber yet, but was hoping to get the code to put the arrow in place first. I can add HTML code, but not Java Script on Bandzoogle's platform, as well as images, though code would be preferred since I'm hoping it will also allow us to enter hexcodes for color, if possible. (I'll adjust proportions to suit the screen later, by the way).
Thank you,
Pamela
Hi Pamela,
Steve here from support. The arrow is not a part of the squeeze page code that John gives you in lesson 16. Rather that code is simply for the image and quote layout of the squeeze page, when using the squeeze page template of the Tunepipe theme.
Since you are using Bandzoogle, you cannot install Wordpress, which means that you also cannot use the Tunepipe theme that John gives you in Lesson 8
This means that you'll have to create your page in Bandzoogle based off of the squeeze page example John gives you in the resource section of Lesson 16.
To further clarify, the arrow is part of the Tunepipe theme and automatically populates when you use the Squeeze page template that is included in the theme. Using a site-builder platform like Bandzoogle, rather than using Wordpress inhibits you from using the theme and you'll instead have to create similar looking pages based on the examples John gives, within the framework of the site-builder you are using.
That said, site-builders should have some mechanism for pasting in simple HTML, like in the squeeze page code.
This is a signature file. You can edit your own by clicking "profile" and selecting "Edit Signature". You can make it an image, or just plain text. You can also link it to wherever you like. Perhaps your Squeeze Page?
Hi Pamela,
When I addressed your question on the call I assumed that because you said html you were referring to the html squeeze page template I released way back in 2013, in this IC lesson: https://www.mmmanifesto.com/in.....-template/
But based on the fact that you are now saying lesson 16 of MMM which makes it sound like you are referring to the wordpress template I offer in MMM 4.0, as Steve has assumed you meant.
If that is the case, then like Steve said, you can't use the MMM 4 template on bandzoogle. The html code I offer on that lesson is to be pasted in the wordpress page editor. The actual arrow and design elements are all in the wordpress theme, which, as Steve mentioned, is not compatible with Bandzoogle. You would need wordpress installed on your site.
Rather than go through the headaches of trying to mesh two, non-compatible templates, I would simply set up a second domain with wordpress on it, if you wish to use the MMM template.
Let me know if I can help with anything else.

Are there any sources for getting an arrow graphic that you know of that I could use instead, ideally with hexcodes?
Thank you,
Pamela
If you just need an arrow I can happily provide that for you. This is the one I use:
Feel free to download and use. Is that all you need?

Thank you, John! That would be a great help in a pinch until I can find a code for one using HTML! Would you be able to re-send the arrow though since there is a line going through it on the screen from the email template please? Then I could at least take a screen shot of it. 🙂 Thank you also for sending over the other lesson which I am watching now!
Many thanks,
Pamela
Hi Pamela, just right click on the image and save to your computer. If you are not clear how to do that then let me know.
