Hey John,
I thought so too. Seems like a weird problem. But absolutely no worries. I appreciate you hooking me up with him!
This confirms that I’ll go with WP comments. At least for now. And I actually have a question about WP comments, but I’ll start a fresh chain for that.
Thanks again John!

Hmmm, I still think it may be worth just scraping your comments and going with FB, but Wordpress is fine too. Sorry that didn't work out.

You know what man, I agree. But only because it now works. It just randomly fixed itself - I mean, all those old comments are still gone - but at least I can leave new ones.
Because for the last year or 2, the FB comment plugin wouldn't even let me leave new comments. But literally 5 minutes ago, I decided to test it out as per your suggestion, and it now works. I can now leave FB comments and replies.
It's a head-scratcher for sure. But I agree with you: FB comments are so much more user friendly. I can only assume I'd get twice as many comments because of the familiarity of FB over WP.
Whatever you just did John, thank you!
Ha!
You probably fixed it a little while ago without realizing it but the broken version was stored in your cache and so the fix wouldn't show up in your browser, and with some time gone by your browser cleared the cookie and now it's working again. That's my best guess anyway. Whatever the case, I'm glad it's finally sorted 🙂

See, even with that you’ve just helped me. I know this is basic maintenance stuff for a lot of folks. But I really haven’t consciously cleared my browser cache in God knows how long. Thanks man!
😉
