Leadpages guy Ian Brodie was doing a split test between which instead of showing name and email fields just has a button that says "instant access now" (for us just be "download now") then the button pops up with name/email fields he says 60% improvement in sign up.
Seems like a good simplification move which amplifies satisfying the desire for the free tracks
Does anyone have an opinion on this or better tried it?

Hey Hal,
I don't have a real opinion on this. I see a lot of these case studies from companies that sell tools, that never seem to translate over to my own case studies. Nor do they seem to be the norm among the leading internet marketers. So I take claims with a grain of salt until they become the accepted norm, I I have experienced the same result.
I've heard people talk about those kind of forms that you mentioned. I have never tried a set up like that so I couldn't comment. Certainly worth a split test though.
