Hello John,
Jamil and I have been confused for awhile now about the 2-3 pixels we always see active while on our website, and when setting up our Facebook ads.
I believe we've made more than one by accident, but we are both unsure which pixel has learned the most, and has been used in our advertising efforts.
Is there an easy way to find out which pixel has been used, and an easy way to delete all of the extra ones we made by accident to tidy up/become more organized?
Thanks if you know,
Matthew
You can go to your pixel inside of your events manager and see the data for each pixel on the overview page. The relevant pixel will be the one that contains your custom conversions.
That make sense?

Hey John,
Yeah that does, thanks.
Is there an easy way to delete all of the other ones that aren't being used?
I remember watching a video with you saying that you had 2 active, but it really didn't mean anything as only one was being used primarily.
Thanks again,
Matthew
Hey again John,
So I went into our events manager and found we have 3 pixels, but 2 have never had any activity, so me or Jamil may have made a duplicate by accident.
I found one that has had the most recent activity, so I'm guessing I found the pixel we've been using for all of our advertising hopefully.
I found that the one that we have been using is under the "inactive" status however.
I will attach screen shots so maybe you could guide me in fixing a problem we probably have.
Thanks again for everything John!

Hey Mathew,
To delete a pixel:
1. Go to your Business Manager>>click the Business Settings button
2. Click ‘Data Sources’ >>Pixels
3. Choose the Pixel you want to remove from your ad account
4. Click Connected Assets
5. Click the trash icon next to the ad account name
------------------
To activate the pixel you should need only install it and go to the website and refresh a a page that is using it a few times. Once it's tracked, the pixel should say active.
If you do end up going with TunePipe, the integration is extremely simple and there is a tutorial in the learning center.
-----------------
However, this seems like an obvious red flag on all of your advertising thus far. If you are not using a pixel on the pages you are advertising then there is absolutely no way the algorithm can do what it needs to, and its surprising you have done as well as you have. So you'll want to be fixing this right away.

Thanks John,
Jamil here. We had stopped advertising for about 4 months or so and when I went back into the ads manager, I saw an alert saying
"pixel inactive due to inactivity" or something like that. Are you familiar with this? I definitely remember the pixel being green and
saying "pixel active" when advertising a few months ago. The FB ads manager was tracking pretty closely with Aweber, so I think it
must have been active, right? Just wondering if it was inactive this whole time, but I don't see how we would have gotten conversion
events as subscribers in out FB ads manager if it had been inactive. What do you think?
Thanks John!
If you had conversions showing up n your ads manager, then yes, it does sound like a pixel had to be installed. But without doing the deep dive in your account, I'm not really sure what may or may not have been going on. Regardless, something was not right, so stripping it back and making sure all is in place correctly is a good idea.
