Hi all,

I'm working on writing something up (MAYBE shooting a video?) describing how to incorporate fully-automated physical CD sales in with the MMM program.  It still incorporates Aweber+PayPal, but it also combines Zapier and ShipWire.com.  I'm just now setting it all up myself, so as soon as I can prove it works, I'll definitely share how I did it with you all.  But given that replicated discs come in a minimum of 300-copies, I thought that while selling downloads is cool, it's far more important to be able to make back that $1,200 or so spent on actual CDs or Vinyl copies (since, often, you need them in order to be able to get into other sales channels like Amazon, retail, MAYBE Pandora, radio if you care to go that route, etc).

I happen to have quite a few copies, and absolutely no time to go down and personally ship out every copy ordered through PayPal, so combining ShipWire with Zapier in order to retain the Aweber piece was a mandatory things for me to try and learn how to set up.  The nice think about ShipWire is that you can sell more than just music (if you have t-shirts, for example, you can stock those too, and offer those as part of a combo or upsell, etc).

I'll check back in (hopefully soon) with an update with how it all went for me.

Thanks,

- Dairenn

Sounds good. I look forward to seeing what you put together.

One thing to consider though... You can absolutely sell physical CDs or any physical product using the exact same method in MMM. All you would need to do is make a deal with a company to handle your fulfillment. Then you just forward in orders and they take care of the rest. Any shopping cart plugin could automate that as well, if you didn't want to manually hot the forward button.

Cheers.
