Hi

I have recently set up a squeeze page for a new artists. When the link to the page is posted onto Facebook, it shows a snippet of text from the page that isn't particularly helpful.

Is there a way of setting the snippet that appears when the page is shared, please? Or do I need to use a plug-in if I want to specify this?

Thanks

Deb

Hi Deb,

I'm personally not sure how Facebook decides which snippet to show.  What I do know is that you can remove the snippet altogether if you like, but your post will likely get more attention with it.

You may have to look into either how Facebook decides which snippet to show, or what you can do to force it to show something else.

I do recall once looking into setting a particular picture for a page to be shown in the Facebook snippet, but I don't recall the details of it.  I would think a simple Google search could steer you in the right direction.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but I'm sure John will pop in to try to help you out, once he returns from the weekend.

Hey Deb,

You can fix it with a plugin. There are likely a few options, but one option would be the Yoast SEO plugin. Here is an article on how to do it: http://www.bluesquareweb.com/c.....-facebook/

Hope that helps.
